Skitouring on Mt. Leone
On 30th March we climbed Mt. Leone from Simplonpass (CH)
We started with ski from the Hospice with no problem; hard snow, good conditions till the pass next to Breithorn
Long traverse till Monte Leone and then we walked the ridge (with crampons and ice axe); we used a small rope for security
Up to the summit and then down to valley (with small ascend to the pass next to Breithorn) on very good snow!!!
