It is important to get good food after hiking - this is the sicilian type of healthy mounteneering food. You have the advantage that you can recollect some of the ingredients while hiking (only in spring!): wild asparagus and wild fennel for the omelettes. The spiral sausage, salsiccia siciliana, which is flavoured with anice, is stewed in some Marsala whine. The anchovy in oil goes with the fresh bread. Ad some white or red whine and some sicilian sweets for desert - buon appetito!! :-))
