I knew this mountain as Monte Croce di Muggio. My maps (Kompass, GlobalMap) both name him with the longer name. I started at Mornico and had a wonderful lunch at Alpe Giumello, so I'm sure we both mean the same mountain.
But nevertheless a good side!
Foreig maps (Swiss & German ones) often change the name of the mountains : famous example the Campanile Basso di Brenta in Germany is known as Guglia di Brenta, it's the same problem happening when I say "Magonza" instead of "Mainz" or "Monaco di Baviera" instead of "Munich"
Locally this summit is known as "Monte Muggio" (see local maps) and I think we should always use the local name
ciao :)
