Very Nice Photo,

but as far as I understand, the Hochjochgrat in the middle of the photo is considerably more difficult than the Hintergrat. (It was my dad's most demanding climb, and he always spoke very respectfully of it!)

You are right, the Hochjochgrat is more difficult than the Hintergrat and has bad rock, too, as I was told. I did the Hintergrat some years ago and descended via the Ortler normal route, a very nice traverse of this beautiful mountain. Hochjochgrat is not very frequented, long and demanding, too much for me; your father for sure was right to speak respectfully of it.
