Monument Peak as seen from the NNE on August 24, 2001. The East Ridge comes down at lower left. The snow-filled gully/couloir corners sharply at the confluence of the East and North Ridges. The glacier has long since vanished. Luckily, those clouds vanished too for me on the ascent. I wonder if that point on the right has ever been climbed?
