What for us europeans the ibex...

...must be the bighorn for the americans! They are such proud and beautiful animals! A lovely photo!

Yes.... I would also love to see your ibex.... This is a Desert Bighorn, which is smaller than the Rocky Mountain Bighorn,which is often found at higher elevations in the mountains here.

and they don't run away jumping at once unlike chamoises! beautiful capture.

They don't seem to be too worried about us humans stopping to take pictures of them.

I have seen a group of 5 rams in this same area a couple times the last two weeks. They are such strong animals. I was taking pictures of some on a cliff above me last week, when one seemed a bit annoyed that I was there. He showed me who was boss by butting a dead tree to show off his strength. I wasn't too close so I wasn't worried, but they are an animal that should be respected.

I have much similar experiences with them from Sierra de Gredos in Spain, we don't have them in Tatras, only chamoises here. Wonderful animal.
