zzzzz boring - check in the box
Up the well developed trail as a side trip on my way to Owen.
Took the sandy northern use trail back down.
Pics and commentary are here.
An easy hike from Walker Pass in bad weather.
This was my first peak ever and a worthy challenge after hurting my LCL.
Excellent trail run! Little over hour and half round trip.
Climbed via PCT on hot sunny day, From Walker Pass.
Climbed via a use trail up the canyon from Siebert Spring and up the soft and steep slope. Returned via the PCT/ridge route to the mining roads. I'd do it in the opposite direction if I did it again - the loose stuff to the canyon would be much better going down.
Quick stop on the way back to the Bay area
Climbed Morris, Jenkins and Owens from Walker Pass.
I strolled to it from Walker Pass.
Easy to follow use trail up from the PCT. Descended off the north side and picked up the PCT again and continued on to climb Jenkins and Owens.
On this day I climbed Morris, Owens, & Jenkins. I also got to meet lots PCT through hikers on their way to Canada.
Up from the abandoned mine with an HPS group. Nice day.
Nice day bouncing along the PCT with Jeff.
Great day hiking Morris and Jenkins with my dog, Coco. Gordon and his puppy, Sofie, walked the PCT but skipped the peaks.
Climbed Morris, Jenkins and Owens from Walker Pass. Started in whiteout conditions after a spring storm had passed through the night before. It cleared up quickly to become a beautiful day.
Short dayhike from Walker Pass. Skipped Jenkins since I didn't even start until 2p (daylight).
Via PCT. Report
Tagged this one, Jenkins, and Owens out of Walker Pass with Bob. As he says, nothing remotely exciting or memorable, but a pleasant enough way of idling away a fall day.
A nice dayhike. The hillsides right off Walker Pass are typically covered with wildflowers around April, I think.
