Not really much in the way of views here. Nice walk though
easy well shaded hike up to the top, there is a summit register now.
Heather and I parked below Windy Gap at 7am and then hiked up Baden-Powell, Burnham, Throop, Hawkins, Middle Hawkins, and Islip. We got back to the car at 2pm and then drove around hiking up Akawie, Winston, and Lewis. The next day we did both summits of Twin Peaks as well as Waterman.
I checked the box. Muted views and no summit register.

HOT day of peakbagging including Twin Peaks, Akawie, Winston Peak, Winston Ridge, Mt. Mooney, & Mt. Sally. Saw a rattlesnake about 100' from the summit (second rattler of the day).

Short hike, but a nice and tranquil place.
Very short and uneventful hike from SR2. Also did Mt. Williamson, Winston Peak, Mount Mooney and Mount Sally.
Tagged Mt. Williamson first, then Mt. Akawie, Winston Peak, Mt. Mooney, and finally Mt Sally.

Took my nine year old son on his first peak bagging adventure hit Akawie and Winston that day.
With Coco, Travis, Scott and Monique. Combined with Winston Peak, Winston Ridge, and Krakta Ridge. Old truck chassis near the lower peak with an interesting worm gear differential.
Climbed Winston Peak, Winston Ridge and Akawie Peak with some good people and a good dog :)

Did this little one in the snow. Also did trips to Winston Peak and nice snow climb on nw ridge of Mount Islip. This was the last spring I remember seeing good snow this late!
