The east face of the "middle peak" of Mount Angeles. The true summit can be seen illuminated by the morning sun on the left. This 1/2 mile long N-S ridge is said to be class 3-4 along the south portion (left) and more 5th class towards the north portion (right), but it all looks 5th class to me. I attempted a scramble starting at the first prominent notch along the right ridge line seen here. I made it up a dirty class 3 gully to the saddle and then up the ridge to about 6200 ft before running into a cliff. There was a rappel sling there and I couldn't find a way to descend so I called it a day.
