Perseids hike
Met up with a member of 14ers.com and set off from the 2WD trailhead shortly after midnight. We hiked slowly, stopping now and then to watch the perseids in the night sky. Summited around 5 AM and stayed for the sunrise.

Antero and White
Wife, dog and I. Wanted to escape the Fourth of July crowds so backpacked up Little Browns Creek. Goodness, what a beautiful hike. Only saw a handful of people on the summit, but saw a plethora hiking up the road. Headed over and tagged White. Highly recommend Little Brown Creek hike.

We were the only ones on the mountain all day. Unusual for a june summit. It was a cold and windy day for June.

Summer & Winter (x2)
8/20/05 - standard route from 11,000 ft. Traversed to Cronin afterwards. Easy 14er but I found it to be enjoyable.
1/24/09 - Winter ascent from the bottom of the road. The south ridge was more interesting than I imagined with snow. A long battle with wind and blowing snow was required to reach the summit.
2/14/10 - Short backpack to camp at 11,750 along road. Loop over Antero, White & Cronin the next day. Very COLD.
Nice jeep road:) Antero was a nice follow-up to our long Belford/Oxford combo the day before. And quick too from the top of the 4WD road.

Climbed up a large bowl on the South slope from Browns Creek then descended by way of the jeep road down to Alpine. Peak #3 of my 2008 Nolans attempt.

Bagged all but one of the spines along the final ridge to the top. Fun times with Db and Andy Mac! Sublime summit that I didn't wanna leave. Then on to North Carbonate and Mount White.

Antero - Baldwin Gulch
Another perfect day to hike a 14er! Did Antero with fellow SP'ers shanrickv and Alan Arnette. As the Antero page states, not exactly the most scenic of the 14ers but the surrounding views were tremendous! Fun scramble after leaving the 4WD roads to the summit as well as seeing 11 mountain goats are a nearby mountain. Only 2 more in the Sawatch left!
