Peak 4 of the Decalibron  Sucess!

Bagged Bross as the last of four Fourteeners which are part of the Decalibron Loop. The decent was long and full of scree, but fun. This is where hiking boots add value over tennis shoes!

Appreciated

The pain generated in my thighs from descending through the scree was unpleasant, to say the least. Yet, the whole Decalibron Day (D-Day) was wonderful! Scree fest and all!

Decalibron tour  Sucess!

Last summit of the tour; had good views all around from this unremarkable summit. The descent to Kite lake was unpleasant. Total hike time was 4 hours.

Ringin  Sucess!

If Bross were open to climb, it could have easily been done in combo with the other peaks in the area!

Bad weather

Turned back before attempting Lincoln and Bross due to sketchy looking clouds. Turns out we could have finished. Better safe than sorry though.

Boxers  Sucess!

I did this one with Lincoln and Democrat. Probably the easiest three 14ers to bag in a day. Two Boxers hiked up with their owners. They were still doing outstanding on the summit.
