Route Climbed: passing through!! Date Climbed: August 1997  Sucess!

Just passing across this one on the way to Lincoln and Bross. Personally, I don't rank Cameron. It's kind of like Bighorn Flats up in RMNP. Just a high plateau.

Route Climbed: Kite Lake via Democrat Date Climbed: Feb 15, 2005  Sucess!

Only thing to consider on a winter ascent is the level at which they close the road. This could very well be a factor in the time it takes. It added a mile on this day. This was my 3rd ascent of Cameron/Lincoln/Bross.

"Summited" Cameron from Democrat and went straight to Lincoln.

So where is the summit? I guess I gotta keep on looking for it...

Route Climbed: 3 (?) Banger Date Climbed: August 2005  Sucess!

Skipped this when completing the 3 Banger a few years back. Came back this year and figured I might as welll since people seem to call it it's own mountain these days. Rain/Snow kept us from the others, except Democrat, so I had to count it that day!

Route Climbed: From Democrat Date Climbed: Septermber 24, 2005  Sucess!

Good hike. Very windy. For beginners that want to climb multiple mountains in one day, this is the hike. All four mountains in 4hrs 30min.

Route Climbed: Kite Lake Date Climbed: 2 September 2005  Sucess!

How many can say they've climbed both Colorado mountains (Cameron Cone, Mt Cameron) with the word "Cameron" in the title? I can now. Sad this isn't a "true" 14er because this is a very serene and Mars-like landscape at the top, unlike the true points of Democrat and Lincoln on either side. Yes, it was just a waypoint on the way to Lincoln, but Cameron holds a special place with me because it's so different.

Nice mountain, not crowded since it isn't an "official" 14er.

Route Climbed: Decalibron Date Climbed: August 14, 2004  Sucess!

This one was actually worse than Lincoln, since you gain most of the elevation for Lincoln going up Cameron from the Democrat / Cameron saddle. Huge, open summit. Pretty cool.

Route Climbed: Decalibron Date Climbed: 7-23-05  Sucess!

Weather was perfect, people were everywhere, all over the mtns. It was nice to see how many people are getting into hiking 14ers. Descending Bross was interesting with all the loose scree, it was almost easier to "ski" down the rocks.

Route Climbed: Kite Lake Date Climbed: July 24,2005  Sucess!

Nice and easy hike to an all flat almost disappointing summit after Mt. Democrat. Great views of Quandery Peak among others. Brake in the clouds with a much welcomed blue sky. Skipped Mt.Lincoln and took the easy stroll over to Mt.Bross.

Like most people, we climbed Cameron along with Lincoln & Bross.

From Kite Lake, these are some of the easiest 14ers in Colorado to summit.

What mountain? I thought the winds were going to sweep me off the surface of the moon! Regardless, it is a 14er by some standards and I was there.
