With 12 year old and 10 year old. Did Lincoln, Cameron, and Bross. According to the Gerry Roach book, there was suppose to be a trail back down through the Cameron Amphitheatre. Never really did find it.
A very cool 14,238' bump. It looked like Mars up there.

Just to do it
Went up the wrong way - was harder than it needed to be. Got it figured out on the way down! Was nearly blown off ridge - will have to come back for the trifecta!

Kite Lake
Hiked this with Lincoln. Didn't make it to Bross, climbing partner not feeling well. Oh well, Bross will make for a nice day hike.

Well, OK
Almost embarrassed to sign the "summit" log on this rolling walk over. But here it is anyway- did it with Democrat, Lincoln, Bross.

From Kite Lake Trailhead
We did it along with Democrat and Lincoln. Left Bross for another day to make it easier on our dog. There was nobody else on this broad and lonesome summit. Our slideshow is here: Lincoln, Cameron and Democrat from Kite Lake

It's Electric!
Planned on Democrat, Lincoln, then Bross - hit Democrat, then made it up to Cameron when a bolt of lightning struck nearby. I got shocks from my hiking poles, are hands went numb, and women's long hair stood on end. I've never gotten off a peak faster in my life! Gave me a healthy respect for lightning in Colorado.

Route: Kite Lake
Climbed this one with Old Guide as part of our annual summer father & son 14er climb after Democrat. Beautiful weather early in the day which built into the normal summer storm clouds enough so we turned around.

Democrat-Cameron Combo
Kite lake start in late september. About an inch of snow on the ground. Made the hike to democrat with no real problems, only blowing snow. Descended to the saddle and headed up Cameron. We arrived on top to a 60mph blizzard. since everyone had already done lincoln, we moved towards bross, but couldnt see the broad ridge in the whiteout, so we followed our tracks back down to the saddle and to the car.

With Lincoln and BrossA very unexciting summit--flat and brown. But the surrounding peaks are nice...

Bulldoze it? Nah, dig!Someone below suggests bulldozing the peak. Phooey! I say let's dig deeper on the connecting saddle from Lincoln and make it count. =)
