No Sean...rope drag in those loose gullies would be more of a detriment than an asset. in my opinion...I did this scramble solo ...wish someone who knows insects would identify that spider for me...a large spider that high up is unreal...I want to know what the hell it is...cheers

I don't know what species that spider is but it has a striking resemblence to the famed spider from the movie Aracnaphobia.

Carnarvon has beautiful color, very nicely captured...I like the glacier shots, too. I think it just went on my "to do" list--thanks!

Great!

I find it so...exotic when "bear spray" is to be found in the gear list.

The day I have to pack it, let alone use it, I may not be so amused anymore.

Bears.

They're scary.
