It was on the way, why not?  Sucess!

Summited on a slight detour driving from
Denver to another trailhead. Went well: topped out from the public free parking lot in 88 minutes. Running down was nice too.

The views from his hike and summit are absolutely amazing. The vertical relief is a sight to behold! Deb, Laraine and I enjoyed this hike with Logan. Great wildflowers.

Nice!  Sucess!

Pretty easy with just the boulder field at the top to navigate. You can hike up under the Silver Queen chair, up the cat track road, or ride the lift part way when it's running in the summer. The wildflowers are gorgeous in July.

Peak Trail  Sucess!

From the top of the lift we took the trail and ran into snow just below timberline. I continued up toward the ridge where I met two lift employees who told me the trail was closed. I asked them about the conditions for the closure and felt that the route wasn't overly dangerous. They claimed that they were trying to get the forest service to allow them to ticket climbers who contiunued up the route. Once they left I continued on to the summit with no problems. Lots fo snow still in the Elk mountains.

Not my favorite day  Sucess!

We decided to hike a variation of the Service Road Route and just follow the Red Lady lift and cross over to Twister, then Silver Queen. Then the .5 mile trail to the summit. It was not to plesent hiking up the steep ski slopes all day, but the summit was spectacular.

Bunch of times  Sucess!

Climbed the Mountaineers route one summer, it's the ridge lookers right of the Silver Queen. Hiked up from the top of the T Bar many times to ski.
