Views aren't as good as Twin Peaks, but the historical significance of the cross makes this hike worth the trip!
Stopped by on my way to Mt Tam. Very nice views with moderate cloud cover.
...from many angles. And every trip was short. There's not much to this peak, but the poppies in spring are wonderful, and the view NE toward downtown SF and the bridge are quite nice. A clear day is always welcome, but I also like it when it rains.
On a trip tagging a bunch of P2Ks and CoHPs in the area. Nice clear day for views. With Kiwi the Dog.
Did Mount Tam and Mount Davidson early in the day before having to catch a flight back to Salt Lake.
In town on family trip, got up early on the second day to check off the SF county highpoint. Pretty cool views despite the "hill" status.
So tagged this SF highpoint - felt silly to spend so little time on a hike so traversed every trail I could find in the area and still finished in under an hour. Trip report at http://www.mountainhiker.org/trip_report.aspx?id=89
Drove to San Bruno then BART to Glen Park to Bus #36 to TH to walk to the top. Lots of transportation. Nice little city park and we even got a ride down to our MUNI connection to other tourist activities.
One day in 1999. I was in the area for work. Walked the walk. Having spent a good amount of time in SF in my childhood, I was always fascinated by the hill with the cross on top. Then the world was introduced to the cross, during Inspector Callahan's pursuit of the madman Scorpio. Harry almost got it that night.
I remember why I dont live in SF.
This one was very rough. Approach was a killer. I almost threw up.
Ran over and up to the top. Nice views!
My wife suggested to visit SF, so I took the chance and suggested to climb this peak with the kids. Easy, but don't wear white shoes. No good views from the top because of the trees, but it was cloudy anyway.
Short and easy, but the trip up is worth the view
hey, at least i did it after bay to breakers.
19th CA county HP. It was tough.

Came up here a number of times when I lived in the city, but nighttime was my favorite.
Used to live in Noe Valley, SF, so running up Mt. Davidson and Twin Peaks was a good workout.
