Democrat

uneventful hike on not the most scenic 14er. Still, a fun hike on a mountain where people were actively working mining claims it looked like.

Three 14ers in one Trekk

Trekked Democrat, Lincoln, and Bross in 5 hours and 35 minutes.
4944' of ascent and 7.23 miles.
Weather was good but there is gusts of wind on ridge that can knock you off your feet. You must dress in layers and take food and water! We supplied some unprepared with items.

Leave no trace.

10-mile roundtrip from winter closure, good snowy views

Lincoln Amphitheater

Came up Lincoln Amphitheater and got all 4 (Lincoln, Bross, Cameron and Democrat) before having to bail down to Kite Lake because of a storm. Found a nice couple to give me a ride back over to my car.

Reached the summit in the sunshine at about 7 a.m. then continued to Mount Cameron before weather pushed us back to the car.

Ran into a traffic jam on the way down. So many people now it takes all the fun out of hiking. Still a good hike though.

Decalibron Route

Started around 6AM, just beating the crowds. Perfect conditions along the whole route. Bross of course is a scree filled route down. Lots of gorgeous wildflowers. Back at car around 10:45AM.
