Mtn biked it first, scouted routes once and couldn't follow guidebook then have returned for rigging practice only. Hope to enjoy some rock in the sunshine there.
Been several times. I must of been about 5 yo the first time cause I remember Mom screaming at me to get away from that edge.
I visited Mount Erie shortly before hiking to nearby Sugarloaf Mountain. My wife and I had a lot of fun watching rock climbers scaling the walls of Mount Erie. I made an effort to visit the highest point of Mount Erie, located near the communications towers. I found a couple of USGS benchmarks, including the one indicating the true summit location.
And fun scrambling on some sticky boulders!!!
Hiked up the Mount Erie via the Summit Trail.
Went up via the Summit Trail. Nice workout with nice views.
Did it! Mount Erie Trip Report
I have hiked to the top several times for the Mountaineers alpine scrambling rock experience field trips and climbed here a few times too.
The first time I went to the summit I rode up with a bunch of bikers.
I've also spent some time on the climbing walls since then.

Hiked the trail to top; been climbing there several times. Always awesome views!
Drove from Seattle on a rainy day. Mt. Erie was totally dry. Climbed some routes acessed from the top parking lot. No other climbers to be seen. Nice spring climbing with fine views.
Did some rock climbing here in my AAI Alpinism 1 course. The views here are beautiful.
We climbed a couple of routes on Mount Erie as part of my 13-day mountaineering school. We came here after climbing Sahale Peak and Sharkfin Tower the day before.
This is where it all began for me
Went up there via several hiking paths from the north. Wonderful hike through the forest and great views from Sugarloaf and Erie.
But it broke my heart to see people climbing the south face while I had no equipment with me.
Took the in between way, not the road but not the climb. Surprisingly nice forest to hike through and some good if cloudy views from the summit.
A nice little trip and a fun place to climb the top offers a great view of the sound.
I've been climbing at Erie for a couple years now. Love this place. The only problem with Erie is that from Bellingham Squamish is only another 45-1hr drive away.
Hiked to the top a couple of years ago, now I climb various crags there. Great views with minimal effort. Nice place to climb.
