Mount Eva is the first mountain I summited over 9K feet. I climbed the East Slope on a cold morning from my campsite at Chinns Lake. Mount Eva was love at first sight. Standing on top changed my life. I was now convinced that I could do this, I could climb mountains. A month after Eva would come Sherman, the first 14er that I feel I earned.
Out and back over Colorado Mines, Flora, Eva & Witter. We found the north slopes of Eva to be 100% safe and mostly windscoured on this occasion. Snowed heavily on descent and later an avy closed Berthoud Pass!
Solo ski tour, great skiing
Ben and I did the East Ridge Direct with the exciting rappel then traversed Parry, Eva, Flora and CO Mines to Berthod Pass.
Second time up, climbed with Shanahan96 and Jamie Nellis in a loop with Parry and Bancroft from the Fall River Reservoir trailhead.
climbed eva from chinns lake basin. the predicted 40-45mph winds with 70mph gusts were there to escort us from the eva-witter saddle to the summit.
easy peak, but the summit had a forboding feel with the snow and wind.
Fun little ridge run.
What Gerb said--"Part of a nice traverse we did from Berthoud to Rollins, netting 8 peaks from Colorado Mines to James (dropped off the divide after James due to weather)."

Completed loop from Fall River Reservoir over Bancroft, Parry and Eva. Took 4 hrs 40 mins total. Then I drove home and went to work.
Beautiful sunny day, could not ask for a better day for a hike. Hike back over Mt. Flora was a pain.
Hiked with Ryan K from Berthoud Pass to Alice. Excellent hike.
A nice hike from Berthoud to Bancroft. was surprised by the radio tower refuse on top!
Mines, Flora, Eva, Parry, Bancroft.
Climbed from Berthoud Pass after Colorado Mines and Mt Flora. Most of the connecting route from Flora was windblown and fairly snow free. There was a hardpacked and steep cornice building on Flora's north slopes. These slopes seem steep and if there is more snow may be at risk for avalanches, if you attempt this route in winter please take care while descending Flora's north slopes.
Had to bail to Loch Lomond on Berthoud-James traverse
Climbed on a traverse from Berthoud Pass to Mount Bancroft.
Great outing that netted Bancroft, Parry, Eva, Flora and Wittier. Had outstanding weather on not another sole.
Although the easiest route on this fine peak is probably from the valley above Chinns Lake and Sherwin Lake to Mt Eva's Southwest Ridge, we began our trip at Fall River Reservoir, with the hope of climbing Eva and then traversing north to Parry before returning down the same valley. We left from the road's end at the reservoir and hiked north below the dam, and then followed a faint trail along the north side of the lake. From the west end, there are a few weak trails that head steeply up the 300 foot headwall west of the lake into the pristine upper valley. A small waterfall and many wildflowers greeted us despite the drought conditions. Eventually our hike up valley we neared a small tarn at 12,140' and then chose a steep route south to the first saddle east of Mt. Eva's summit along it's East ridge. From the saddle it is another steep 400' to the summit with some fine Class III scrambling along boilerplate slabs and ledges to to final summit plateau. Due to building storms, we did not continue the traverse to Parry, but instead descended our ascent route.
Long day, solo, climbed all the way over from Rogers Pass trailhead 2 miles north of James Peak, and back by the same route. Cloudless day -- when the wind wasn't blowing it was hot but when the wind did blow it was blowing hard. It's no wonder the telecommunications tower has blown over.
