Great view
Hiked this while my family played by the lake. Pikas were active in the rocks near the top

Some postholing required
There was a half-mile or so of sometimes crotch-deep postholing between where the boot-pack ended and the saddle, then a nice bare rib leading most of the way to the summit. Great view, but still a bit early season. Trip report.

Via Saddleback.
Still lots of snow, good for glisading.
Perfect panorama from top.

Whiteout at the top
Much of southern Alberta had rain the week I went, including the Rockies. About halfway up, the rain became snow. It was really windy at the summit, and you could just barely see the surrounding peaks. I was the only one to summit that day. Not a good day for pictures.

My First Summit
Fairview was the first real mountain summit I ever climbed. Incredible views from the top looking 3000 feet down to Lake Louise and 10,000 foot peaks all around.
Did this the following day after St. Piran. Even better views from the top than the day before! A bit crowded and unfortunately the squirrels and chipmunks are pretty bold up there - certainly from being fed (intentionally and otherwise) from all the traffic. Nice weather, but was quite windy up top on this day. Definitely a worthy outing in the area!

View/effort ratio awesome
Three hours car to car while my family was comfortably asleep at Moraine Lake. Incredible views. Celebrated Canada day with my new canuck friend - a marmot I shared the summit with.

Snowy one!
Did Fairview Mountain after a recent dusting of snow, made Temple look magnificent, even more so than it did a week ago when we climbed it. Easy route, did Saddleback Mountain as well.

Its practically cheating
How can such an easy climb have such great views? :-D I was almost too lazy to pick my way up here after zoning out, but then I got a spurt of energy and summitted within an hour of leaving Lake Louise.

SE Slopes Route
Great hike to the top with amazing views. Left Lake Louise nice and early in the morning (6:50) and managed to make it up by 8:45 to enjoy the morning without anybody else on the trail. Definitely recommended.

Mount Fairview
Hiked up to the summit after Saddleback with my wife. We used to love the Post Hotel in the village and the bakery during our visits in the 90s

Nice hike up, not too crowded and good weather. Great views of Lake Louise and the surrounding mountains. (If you try it, look for the pikas in the rock fields).
