I recommend the Devil's Elbow trail.
Finally did this while recovering from a cold. Nice front range experience.
A nice consolation prize after my wife and I gave up the battle against I-70 traffic to reach Sniktau. We enjoyed the Summer White House and Walker Home ruins as well as good views of the divide, several blue bird sightings, and a photogenic rabbit.
Took a dog (Stimpy) up this pleasant little hike with me on a freakishly warm January day.
Nice trail run
Nice hike for families
hiked falcon from the east with jamie. switchbacks were numbing lower down yet the lovely open meadows higher up made for a lovely post-work jaunt.
A nice winter hike on a sunny, warm day. 2 of 50.
From the east side with my wife and dog.
nice snow shoe hike - included Devil's Elbow
Have climbed this mountain a couple of times from various routes. Nice hike to get in shape early season.
Summited with mom and dad.
Easy stroll from the parking lot. The Open Space was much nicer than I had anticipated.
A great fall hike with a little snow and a little sunshine. The mountain page is accurate: good way to kill a Saturday and enjoy nature. Keep away from the main parking areas and you have the place to yourself.
Leisurely hiking up Parmalee Trail and back on Castle Trail. A nice place to go on a day off with plenty of daylight left when you get home! Took about 90 minutes this way without pushing it.
Oh the memories...If you're from Denver, you can't say that you got the full high school experience unless you came up to Mount Falcon at least once to make out with somebody. I'm pretty sure my initials are in a tree up there somewhere.
30 min roundtrip.
I started from the east side. I had hiked in Mt Falcon park before, but I had never been to the summit. This was the first day of daylight savings, and there were a lot of hikers and bikers in the park.
I have been all over this peak, not in a while until recently when I go with my friends on our bikes. We mostly like to boulder, but found a few places that would be fun to top rope. One more thing to do!
