HP # 9
Great Views!!! My 2nd summit of Greylock was along my AT hike in August 2017 and I stayed at the top in the Bascom Lodge, great hiker rate, shower and breakfast (best blueberry muffins I've ever eaten), if you don't stay there, go in and check out the beautiful work done by the CCC!
1st of 7 county high points this weekend. Went up early to avoid the expected storms the next day. Well worth it;

Cheshire Harbor trail. 2:27 round trip time. Very wet and sloppy then frozen and slippery last .75 or so. Wind was strong and cold at the top! On to Vermont for hopefully a fourth on this trip before flying home. Very pretty part of the country.

Late Summer Evening
Drove to the summit and walked around to view vistas in all directions. Lovely spot. Hope to return to actually hike up to it sometime this fall.

Glorious Day
Great day. Mostly clear and about 60 degrees at the top. I loved the small lake and cabin about a half mile from the top. At the top you could see forever.

Beautiful day for a hike
Absolutely beautiful day for a little hike. Still icy near the top, and at the bottom it was extremely muddy. High point 2/50

Larvitour Stop #21
The final summit of my three-high-point day (after NJ in the morning and CT in the early afternoon). The visitor center on Rockwell Rd. was closed when I got there (seriously, what kind of park office closes at 5 pm in the summer?), so rather than hike without a map I took the lazy way up and drove to the top. The summit was a bit disappointing: the crowds were out in full force and the tower was closed for repairs, but at least the view was nice.

Great Leg Burner, OK View
The path was pretty steep, so it was a good warmup for harder hikes, but the views weren't what I had hoped. Views to the East and South were blocked by trees.

Start to Summer
An awesome, 16-mile hike to start the summer. Hiked to the summit but also to some waterfalls on the other side of the mountain. Well worth it!

Highpoint # 1
This was our first high point before we knew we were highpointers not sure of the exact date it was in October of 2011 we used e thunder bolt trail great trail not hard at all this trail leads you to the AT it was so cool to walk a little of the AT to the summit of graylock the tower was also cool with great views we had a good day and great lunch at the top in the lodge
A backwards summit, of sorts. Not sure what the weather was going to do - looked foggy and rainy so I drove to the top. The weather cleared up so I then hiked down the AT to Notch Road/Wilbur's clearing and then back up to the War Memorial. Looks to be about 6+ miles round trip.

Skin up and ski down
A warm day for skiing! We skinned up, hung out at the summit to eat and drink then skied down on soft mushy snow. Coverage was good though.
This tour was with Nate and Dana.
