My first time was with Bob and Norm. We were all totally hung over from the night before. Too much MURDER. (That's redrum spelled backwards) This was a warm up before putting on the packs the next day for Mt Russell. I took my wife up the next year. It was great. What a nice little hike to the top.
Beautiful hike, great views from summit. Took my 11 yr. old son; his first real summit. Very kid friendly and quite rewarding.
Very nice day hike and great views. Only bad thing was that we got eaten alive by the mosquitos!
The views are as one would expect standing on a peak at 10850' in one of the most beautiful places on earth...Yosemite. Great day for a hike with some lite rain on my descent then clearing by the time I reached the parking lot. This was my first peak in Yosemite.
Great day hike with incredible views of Yosemite high country. Cool to explore the several different summits.
Afternoon climb following Mount Dana coming back home from Whitney region. Enjoyed the view, though it was fairly hazy and smoky so the distant views were washed out.
10 person group, overnight trip.
Very nice view from the summit. Climbed Cloud's Rest the day before. I would do this one again. The reward of the view is much greater than the effort.
This was my wifes first peak. Just a couple of hours from the car.
Climbed during the day and made a solo attempt on Hoffmann's Thumb. Then did a Night-time hike under a nearly full moon. Climbed it again (2010) with my wife and 10 year-old son.
Hiked up with youngest daughter, age 25. Impressive views, well worth the trip. That evening we both got wasted on just one beer at Nicely's. Tired is, as tired does.
This hike/climb was a nice "scramble." Don't remember the exact amount of time it took to do the trip, but it wasn't very long, and was easily doable in an afternoon. Very nice views of Yosemite NP from the summit! Descended via a Southeast ridge on the way back down, over large boulders. Was a very nice trip, overall!
Terry was tired of climbing after a week in Tuolumne, so he hung out at Tenaya Lake while I climbed cross-country from there. It's an easy half-day hike from the lake, even shorter if you drive to Snow Flat. Trip Report
Hiked up with Ryle and one of his friends. On the way, I free-soloed the 5.6 Regular Route on "Hoffman's Thumb," an impressive spire a few hundred feet south of Hoffman's true summit.
Short hike to impressive vistas on a beautiful day. Dove in and swam at May Lake on the way out. Very chilling but fun.
