Mount Hornaday as seen from the Lamar Valley at dawn. The easiest way to climb Hornaday is probably by climbing
Druid Peak first; this will be about 7-8 miles in one-way distance. I have climbed Druid and know that there is a short section of Class 3 scrambling on the way; the traverse from Druid to Hornaday
appears to be just a hike, but I cannot say more than that with any certainty.
A shorter route may exist from Pebble Creek, but topo maps show cliff bands that could be insurmountable impediments for hikers and scramblers. Also, that way would require some significant bushwhacking.
