Went over Rohn Pass and up the NE ridge of Mount Izaak Walton from camp in the Tully Lake basin. Very nice class 3 scramble. Came down the East Face - class 2-3 terrain with scree / boulders. Outstanding views from the top. Trip report

From Lake Edison
Took the Edison Ferry then followed to PCT toward Silver Pass. Stream crossings were a bit dicy. Left the trail at the meadow at 9,600' and headed straight for the peak. Plenty of snow above 10,000' but the southwest face was clear - never broke out the crampons.
Mike Chen and I were the first climbers to summit Izaak Walton this year. We did it as a day hike from Lake Thomas Edison, 21 miles round trip 5000' vertical gain.

A nice and easy scramble from the PCT well below Silver Pass. Amazing country, and a spot very few people visit, despite the proximity to a very popular trail. Sunrise on top was spectacular!

Dayhike from McGee TH. We had to bushwhack through the mosquitoes, which swarmed us passing through fish creek basin. The NE ridge scramble was perfect and sweet!

Climbed the West face from just north of Bighorn Lake. Fun route, but lots of loose talus. Descended a similar route but added in a lot more boot skiing.
