The road as it crosses the ridgeline is now intentionally blocked here, leaving a few miles of walking or biking to reach the summit. The blockage might have something to do with the Pacific Northwest Trail. The south side of the ridge is DNR land. The north side is privately held. There isn't (or wasn't at the time in 2015) any negative signage at the blockage point.
