Hiked it from the north. Nice little hike with some interesting views due to the isolated hills in the surrounding area. Lots of graffiti. Some of it is visually interesting and seems to have required a bit of skill, but most of it was pure garbage. Maybe I'm just getting to be a stodgey old man, but I'm not a fan of graffiti in the park.
Quick hike to Jurupa and Peak 1913. I'm not a fan of graffiti, but since the area is lost, the art work was actually well done.
3x. A good way to stretch one's legs after a long flight. Interesting artwork along the way, too! The second time I hiked it I bushwhacked down the west slopes and climbed neighboring Peak 1802 on the way back. On my most recent climb I noticed some new artwork since April 2015.
Easy, sweaty hike up to the top from the new Martin Tudor Park in Fontana. Spooked a fat rattler near some rocks at the top, then on the way down, a bee stung me.
Early morning hike to a small range highpoint while in the area. Trip Report
Quick and easy. Nice views, clear, windy day.
I have been eyeing this mount ever since I moved into the area in 1989.
I can see it from my front door.I finally got off my butt and hiked up to the top!! Broke a good sweat, but not too bad for my "first" climb......baby steps,ya know? Here are some pics.
Fun little climb, been wanting to do this little since I was a kid, great view of the Inland Valley. A suprising diversity of flora considering the urban impact and often fires.
