Jurupa Double  Sucess!

Early morning hike up East Jurupa (Peak 1913’) and Mt Jurupa. City lights were pretty in the dark, and some of the graffiti art was interesting. Trip Report

Quick Summit, Decent Views  Sucess!

Beautiful weekend and a steady trickle of walkers, but very easy to find solitude at the top. There was evidence of a recent fire on the northern slopes; those bay trees are barely hanging on. Nice place to spot planes landing at Ontario.

bad weather day hike  Sucess!

Thirty minutes to the flat topped summit on a day where it alternated between sun and showers. Not a fan of graffiti, but some of it was really well done.

From the northside  Sucess!

Hiked it from the north. Nice little hike with some interesting views due to the isolated hills in the surrounding area. Lots of graffiti. Some of it is visually interesting and seems to have required a bit of skill, but most of it was pure garbage. Maybe I'm just getting to be a stodgey old man, but I'm not a fan of graffiti in the park.

Graffiti art gallery  Sucess!

Quick hike to Jurupa and Peak 1913. I'm not a fan of graffiti, but since the area is lost, the art work was actually well done.

The Jurupa Gallery  Sucess!

3x. A good way to stretch one's legs after a long flight. Interesting artwork along the way, too! The second time I hiked it I bushwhacked down the west slopes and climbed neighboring Peak 1802 on the way back. On my most recent climb I noticed some new artwork since April 2015.

The old Snake & Bee  Sucess!

Easy, sweaty hike up to the top from the new Martin Tudor Park in Fontana. Spooked a fat rattler near some rocks at the top, then on the way down, a bee stung me.

Quick Urban Jaunt  Sucess!

Fun little climb, been wanting to do this little since I was a kid, great view of the Inland Valley. A suprising diversity of flora considering the urban impact and often fires.
