Easy hike. Went up over Cameron, out to Lincoln, then over to Bross before descending back to Kite Lake. 14er #11
Great alternate route to avoid the crowds.
Great winter route! Easy to avoid the dangerous spots, and enjoy total solitude.
Part of the fourpack.
After summiting Democrat & Cameron, went onto Lincoln, then Bross.
I spend hours trying to locate this Quartzville Creek Trailhead cause being on a budget/broke college guy I didn't feel like forking over cash for crashing at Kite Lake.....thus after finally finding this "trailhead" I spent a peaceful and quiet night alone in the view of the valley and the massive peaks. The next morning I headed out for Lincoln, this rarely used trail provided for some history as I passed thru demolished mines....the summit itself was not so impressive.

Fast day...summitted Democrat, Lincoln, and Bross in 3 hours 5 min.
Late start with Aaron. First 14er for my son. We had fun!
Did the whole route (for the second time) from Kite Lake with Trish, while Suzanne and Amber left us at the Democrat/Cameron saddle and did just Cameron/Lincoln/Bross. A beautiful, sunny day.
Boring hike. Only gets done because its a "14ner".
Lincoln ampitheatre route is a good alternative to the more crowded routes. Climbed Lincoln then traversed to Cameron, Bross, "South Bross", back to Cameron and over to Democrat. Nasty storm was coming in, so I quickly descended back to Cameron/Democrat saddle and then went down the steep scree slope to the north. From there I found the wheeler trail and hiked back out to the reservoir. Pretty long this way, but a good time.
reached it in fog and waited for clearing before heading to Bross
Good hike. Very windy. For beginners that want to climb multiple mountains in one day, this is the hike. All four mountains in 4hrs 30min.
1st 14er not too difficult. Wasn't too impressed w/ hike or view. Much nicer in the ADK.
Should have been an easy climb, but the snow/sleet moved in. Finished all three from Kite Lake- but high trailhead helps. We had no views thanks to the 50mph winds and white, so unfortunately it was just to cross them off the list. Climbing just to get to the top is great, but I go for the sights. Careful coming down or you miss the trail and contribute to trail damage on the scree slopes.
Camped at Kite Lake the night before and awoke to a gorgeous view! Did Democrat and Cameron before heading over to Lincoln. Very easy from the summit of Cameron! Within 30-40 minutes we were back at Cameron and heading off to Bross. You're a bit exposed in some parts but nothing to get the heart pumping. The pictures I took of Lincoln from Cameron and Bross are stupendous!
Fun, great views. Good mountain.
