Great hike. Did Bross afterward and descended down one of it's gulches to make an "almost loop."
Got Democrat, Lincoln, Cameron, & Bross with a friend and fellow teacher starting from Kite Lake. The only bad part was some of the road right before the lake!
My first 14'er excursion -- hiked the "Decalibron" route to knock off three ranked 14'ers plus Cameron.
A friends first 14'er, slow going and had to make a mad dash for the summit before it got too late. Still a good day.
The road up from Quartzville makes a sharp right hairpin to gain east ridge. Follow road, don't head straight for summit as the scree is horrendous. Ontop at 9:30am then on to
Bross over Cameron on the way.
from Kite Lake with Democrat and Bross.
Nice summit, great views. Saddle between Lincoln and Cameron Pt. looked like the surface of Mars! Red rocks in the early morning light.
Already had Democrat. Finished the loop.
Did this one back when I was about 12
With 12 year old and 10 year old. Did Lincoln, Cameron, and Bross. According to the Gerry Roach book, there was suppose to be a trail back down through the Cameron Amphitheatre. Never really did find it.
From Montgomery Reservoir I did Mt. Democrat's North Couloir, Mt. Cameron, and Mt. Lincoln. CAUTION; route finding your way out of the Lincoln Amphitheater is a reall BI#@H if you did not come up that way.
Super crowded, but a nice hike.
We did it along with Democrat and Cameron. Left Bross for another day to make it easier on our dog. Our slideshow is here: Lincoln, Cameron and Democrat from Kite Lake
Quick hike in the fog. Not a bad hike just to see how you like going to 14 thousand feet
Via the standard DeCaLiBro route.
Lincoln is higher than Boulder! (Sorry, Buffs fans.)
Climbed the four summits on 4th of July
Traversed over from Bross
After being chased off Cameron the year before by lightning, decided to tackle Lincoln and Bross from a different angle. The Quartzville trailhead provided complete solitude until we reached the summit of Lincoln. It was great!
5 in one day, starting with Mt.Buckskin. Great day!!!
