Got this along with Lafayette. Loved it, except for those evil flies. Great views.
completed on a sunny hike of the loop w lafayette, beautiful hike, increadible views
Followed the Falling Waters, over the Ridge and Down Bridal Path.
Well...I've HEARD it's really pretty out there...I'll just have to use my imagination...socked in right from the start. Oh well...at least the trail was awesome!
Gorgeous hike! very icey but amazing views
Had a great day to climb. Visability kind of sucked, could only see for several hundred miles....
Great weather and great mountain, completed with Little Haystack and Lafayette. first hike after my torn PCL in March.
Great hike in the Whites! Summited along with (of course) Little Haystack and the Marquis
Snow on the ground and blue skies. Excellent
This was a neat peak! I really enjoyed the traverse and being able to see where we came from (Lafayette) and where we were going (Little Haystack, Liberty, Flume). Beautiful views that seemed endless!
Did it as part of the loop, heading north, what a fantastic hike. Not a cloud in the sky with views for 120 miles.
Southbound thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail.
Climbed with Little Haystack and Lafayette via the Falling Waters Trail from Franconia Notch. One of the best hikes in the East. Had great views of Franconia Notch to the West and the Pemigewasset Wilderness to the East. Suprisingly small number of people out today even on some of the most popular trails in the Northeast and on the day preceding the Columbus Day Weekend no less.
Up Falling Waters, over Ridge and Down Bridal Path
I forget the exact date of my last climb. This is a delightful summit.
3 summits May 2007 and 2008 and...
Climbed on the last day of 2007. Made it to the tree line on Little Haystack when the winds picked up. Conditions deteriorated so that the most of the ridge was done in whiteout. 8-10 foot snow drifts and rime coated rocks made the footing difficult. 10 degree temps and 60-80 mph winds made standing difficult. I pushed for 3 hours above on the ridge and just barely made it to this brutal winter summit and back.
Part of my 2000 Appalachian Trail thru-hike.
Hiked this on a cold fall day, up the Falling Waters Trail to Little Haystack, Lincoln, and then Lafayette. There was some snow at the top, just a dusting, and it made for some amazing pictures. It was very cold at the top, and windy. Great hike.
An awesome hike on a cloudy, foggy day. Did the traverse fron the campground with my 12 year old son.
Cold, windy and wet. Pretty enjoyable, but wish I would have had some views.
