Winter Battle
3 summits May 2007 and 2008 and...
Climbed on the last day of 2007. Made it to the tree line on Little Haystack when the winds picked up. Conditions deteriorated so that the most of the ridge was done in whiteout. 8-10 foot snow drifts and rime coated rocks made the footing difficult. 10 degree temps and 60-80 mph winds made standing difficult. I pushed for 3 hours above on the ridge and just barely made it to this brutal winter summit and back.

Hiked this on a cold fall day, up the Falling Waters Trail to Little Haystack, Lincoln, and then Lafayette. There was some snow at the top, just a dusting, and it made for some amazing pictures. It was very cold at the top, and windy. Great hike.

Overnight Trip from Liberty Spring Tentsite
Hiked across the ridge from the Liberty Spring Trail after staying at the Liberty Spring Tentsite. Good views into the notch and out across the Pemi Wilderness. Second peak of three for the day on our traverse.

Franconia Ridge Traverse
Hit this one after Mt. Lafayette, and saw our first views of the day! The wind and clouds started to lift, and we could finally see how beautiful the hike really was.

Climbed it as part of a four day Pemmi wilderness traverse from Lincoln woods to Crawford notch. Fog rolled in right as we reached the summit and we didn't see anything.
