Thanks a lot Bubba! I finally got around to it for the first time yesterday after living in Marin since '79.
BTW, there seems to be a problem with the Lat/long coordinates on SP as of late. The red marker is gone and the only way to get accurate
coordinates is through TOPO! then type them in but even that doesn't seem to hold when you submit the changes.
I contacted the elves but haven't heard back.
the 1962 escape from Alcatraz has some historians thinking the convicts made there way to Angel Island. Here's a link as an idea, but you could obviously can choose any link you prefer. And the island was "The Ellis Island" of the west. I know you touched on this... Just a suggestion. As always, nice page!

You're very welcome Bob, glad you like it! We were under time constraints because we wanted to catch the 1:20 pm ferry back and we got there at 11:30 so didn't have time to explore. Just hustled to the top and back. Must go back on a nice day soon. I can see the top of the island from my house less than 8 miles away.
