Snow and Blowing Snow
Snowing with very little visibility at the top. The hike in the snow was very pleasant considering the weather conditions, though. Very pleasant back down at the visitor center.

Sweet
Glad to finally get to climb this peak, been wanting to do so for a long time. Awesome views all the way from the Guadalupes to the Chisos.

It took me two tries
My first attempt was plagued by thunderstorms. I came back two weeks later on a beautiful day for a perfect summit. It is currently my favorite summit trip. Its worth looking into.

Road Route
After driving past miles and miles of beautiful mountains in Texas that are unaccesible as private property, I really appreciated the access made possible to these mountains by TNC.
