Base camped at grass lake with Rick, Waide, and Steven. Climbed LeConte, Mallory, and Irvine with an overnight bivy on Mallory. Perfect weather and stellar views from the top.

From Meysan Lake
Sierra Club outing. The class 2 chute was no fun - steep with loose rock

Technically easy, but used a lot of energy.
Via Maysan Lakes and East Slope. The slope and Secor's chute were nothing but snow and ice. I made my way up the snow with two axes and no crampons to the class 3. it was a long way up, literally; it took me 7 hours from parking lot to summit. From Mallory I went to Le Conte.

Hard Slog up and down
See Ambret's trip report at http://www.summitpost.org/misadventure-on-mallory/952404. The Meysan Lake area is beautiful. Mount Mallory, not so much.

Via Meysan Lake
Summited Mallory with Ruvicha and Steve2 after coming up the chute from Meysan Lake. Did not get to the top until 4:00 pm and way underestimated the time to get back down through the chute, with the loose scree and rocks. Ended up bivouacking above Meysan Lake when we could not find the way back down to the trail and our campsite in the dark. A cold and unpleasant night, but a good story afterwards.

Traverse from Irvine on the way to LeConte. Nice 3rd class route with 2 squeeze chimneys and a keyhole. What's not to like. Trip report

East Slope from Meysan Lake
We accessed the east slope by climbing the class 3 chute just to the left of Secor's class 2 chute, which was completely filled with snow/ice.

We hiked up the Meysan Lakes Trail and camped the 1st night on a saddle above the lake on the ridge up to Irvine. Then we traversed over to Mallory and LeConte before going down a gully and camping below Pickering. The next day we climbed Pickering, Joe Devel and Chamberlin and then down to Crabtree Lakes. The following day we went from Crabtree to the JMT and and climbed up Discovery Pinnacle before going down the Whitney Trail.
