Route Climbed: Mount Manuel Trail Date Climbed: 5/28/04
This trail is pretty overgrown beginning about 2000 ft elevation to the summit. I spent a lot of time bent over and working my way through the brush. There were a lot of flies this time of year as well. It was a great work out to ensure I was prepared to climb Junipero Serra the following week. The weather was perfect, partly cloudy and temps around 70. There are great views much of the way as well. I was impressed with the views inland toward the Vantana Wilderness Area.

Manuel Peak is one of those peaks where at the end of the day, I knew I'd climbed it, but I couldn't tell you for sure where/when it was! All I know is it was one of the little bumps we climbed along the ridge.
The hike via Post Summit was very pleasant; perfect weather and abundant wildflowers made for a highly enjoyable day.

Clouds and rain, clouds and rain make for a very nice hike, but not for good photos :-P Didn't see a single person on the trail but saw many down at the trailhead and at the restaurant / giftshop.
