Hiked all the trails and climbed all the peaks in the Western Uintas (1990's) when writing the Western Uinta Backcountry Guide
Climbed from base camp at Ruth Lake. Easy 2nd class climbing and great view.
2 hours from the parking lot to the summit. Steeper than expected but a nice and mellow peak for a late start in the day.
always nice to be out in the uintas.
A great day to be out. All my pictures and map are at http://www.willhiteweb.com/uinta_mountains/mount_marsell/lofty_399.htm
Climbed up the east face above Kamas Lake. The route was dry except for a steep snow cornice near the top. I found a way around it. Great view from the summit on a nice sunny day.
