Herbert Brook
Hiked up from Lake Colden, what an amazing trail! All that moss really made it a cool experience.

Mount Marshall
Climbed via the Flowed Lands Trail from Tahawus. An interesting climb. The herd path along Herbert Brook was very charming as was the trek through the lush evergreen forest along it's banks. We followed the trail about a dozen meters past the summit and were rewarded with great views of the Southern High Peaks region.

Hiked with several friends. We had a great hike and there was a little bit of snow above 4000 feet. Herbert Brook is very pretty; you walk on slabs in it part of the time.

Easiest of the 46 high peaks to date. Jogged from upper works to flowed lands. Great view of iriquois. Still need that one though. Maybe this weekend...

Herbert BrookDay Hike from Upper Works. Nice views off to the east froma side ledge...Skylight, Allen, Marcy, Colden, Redfield, and Cliff were all spotted.

Route Climbed: From the pass Date Climbed: October 2002It is pretty thick up there, but not enough to slow you down from the height of land. I've seen much worse in Maine and NH. Icy.
