We climbed the Iron Gates route, which leads to Meeker's northeast ridge. The knife-edge ridge from the summit of Meeker Ridge to Mount Meeker's summit was exhilerating! We continued on to successfully summit Longs and Pagoda. A trip report is available here.
Fun. Nice ridge to summit.
Ascended the Loft, then around to the summit of Longs Peak, and descended the Keyhole Route.
My first mountain ever!
It's a thrill to stand on this summit.
Nice day! Early season conditions and snow made for a pleasant and fast climb of the Loft. Descent of the east ridge was long and arduous, but worth it to cross the knife edge ridge near the summit!
A good long hard hike...towards the top you can definitely feel the burn! Once on the summit ridge it's a little dicey to stand on the highest point...perhaps the highest boulder problem on the front range. Great Peak!
Took in Meeker while climbing Long's via the Loft and Clark's Arrow.
Still one of my favorite climbs in the park. Great scenery and no other people. This great peak sees a few ascents per week compared to the 100s per day on Long's.
Meeker was somewhat of a milestone climb for me. I had spent about a year wondering about how I would handle this huge mountain. It turned out to be easier than I expected. I will always remember getting my first view of the Longs/Meeker Massif. I was in complete awe. In my opinion only the view of Capitol Peak from Capitol Lake compares to this view. Truely a day to remember.
Still dreamin' about Dream Weaver! An awesome climb on a fantastic, beautiful Rocky Mountain day. Conditions were perfect (for me), mostly good snow with some snow / ice / rock mix in the cruxes. WOW!
Picked this up on my way to Longs...
Did DreamWeaver yesterday (very long day) with a few friends. The alpine ice rating was useless as we found no ice on the entire route. It made for 900 fun feet of dry tooling on 5.5 terrain. Would like to try it in spring with some ice.
This is a fantastic mountain. The summit is perfect, narrow and exposed, tread with care!
