Ryan-Ellen and I just love Glacier. We just finished our second trip there with my long time friend and climbing partner, Saintgrizzly. You two really need to go there! What you see here is typical Glacier! Awesome!

Fantastic

Now I know why that glacier has a nasty reputation. It does look steep and slanted in a couple directions at once. Hoping to get up there this summer.

Route

From what you remember about this route, would it be possible for a person not carrying an ice axe and crampons to climb Merritt from this side by going around the glacier to the right.
