What kinds ofberries? Tis the season to brag about Eating The Mountains :) I just finished making a batch of black-and-golden currant and serviceberry brandy ... what did Ray Bradbury write about "late August in a bottle"?

Re: What kinds ofThe thinleaf blueberries and cascade blueberries are my absolute favorites in the high country! I try to fill a nalgene bottle with berries every year, but fail ... for I am a glutton. I believe I eat more than I save! As far as making brandy, wine, etc... I'm a complete failure.
Cheers! Trina

Re: What kinds ofWild blueberries, wow! It must have been decades since I last picked more of them than I would eat on the spot. Huckleberries and grouseberries up here have a great blueberry taste, but the berries are puny and not too abundant. This year is shaping up to be an exception though, but who'd ever share their huckleberry secret spots ;) ? Anyway I couldn't resist posting one of my recent pictures of the 2008 berry bounty!
