So close...
Went up as a training climb, but had to stop just short of the summit due to massive falling icicles. To be or not to be a human shishkabob? Will be up again soon.

Mount Olympus Trail
Second time to the summit. Plenty of people going up the trail this spring day. Most stopped though at the at or below the saddle on the main trail because of snow and ice. Lost trail at some point and had to scramble up to the summit on the opposite of the trail. Fun exposure and great views.

Good Day Hike
I've been up this multiple times, but not as much as some people on this site. If you do West Slabs, leave the rope at home. Bring the rope for Geurt's Ridge (multiple rappels). The normal trail is a fun night hike in the summer.

Winter Acent
We made it up to the top. The last 15 minutes or so is a little slippery with all the snow it. The view up top was incredible this time of year.

4 times, three routes
Climbed 4 times, twice via the standard route, once in summer once in winter. Once on the north face to the north summit and then traversed to the south and down the standard route it's a great route up top but horrible bushwacking for the first bit plus lots of rattle snakes I almost got bit by one in a stream bed, and most recently up Geurt's Ridge by far my favorite route, although it is recommended to rope up it is really not necessary except for the two rappels.

Good spring or fall hike
Since the trail faces West, this is one of the first summits you can hike in the Wasatch. I climb it a few times each year.

Nice times
06/17/2006 - I hiked up this one with Asher and realized just how long it had been sice I had last hiked. We decended Tolcat canyon.
08/30/2007 - Nice morning hike all by myself.

Bring lots of water
I could also have titled this "Don't hike when its 100 degrees outside." Went through my 3 liters of water on the way up. Luckily there was a group at the summit that gave me plenty of water for the way down. Overall a great hike just outside of the city!
Climbed with Susan in April 2005 and June 2006 -- very hot and steep. Although the majority of the trail is not very scenic as compared to other Wasatch climbs, the fun scramble towards the top and the summit views make this climb worth the effort. Looking forward to climbing this mountain in the winter.

West Face 5.5-5.6
Can a climb go on forever? That's what we were thinking after about 15 pitches of 5.6. This is a great beginner's alpine climb. It is nice and laid back and had good pro all the way up. We ended up climbing huge full rope pitches on a 70 meter rope. This would be an easy route to free solo, but I don't suggest it. Best to descend the way you came up, we tried to hike off the backside and ended up on a nightmarish bushwhack late into the night. Amazing views all the way up make up for the less challenging climbing that is required.
