Good one, Morgan.
Great page, and I specialy liked info about Red tape (NO .....) and final note of Do not ... Regard Rok
Excellent page! Just climbed today for the first time, and I'd have to say that it kicked my hiney! Great mountain though.
just an fyi, the link about "relieving yourself in the SLC water supply" appears to be bad.
But what exactly is the attraction of Mount Olympus?
Is it because you can see it from the Salt Lake valley??
Isn't there a lot of encounters with rattlesnakes and lightning
storms along some of the routes??
Guess that's what makes it interesting! You folks be careful out
there! Mount Olympus truly is an awesome mountain.
Since I'm on this trail a lot, I try to do my share to block shortcuts, knock down errant cairns, pick up trash, etc. On Saturday I saw one of the largest groups I've ever seen up there (±40 people) going straight up blister hill, making no attempt to stay on the trail. It looked like some of photos I've seen of the conga lines going up Everest.
