First peak of many on a lovely partial Presi traverse
Camped out near the Mizpah Spring Hut in 4 feet of snow the night before (temp dropped to -2). 40-50 mph winds above tree line during approach. Clear day with great views of Eisenhower, and Washington.
Hit it on the way from Eisenhower to Jackson.
Blynn and I climbed this peak during a traverse of the Southern Presidentials. It was a beautiful day to descend from the Lakes of the Clouds. We had to bypass the top of Eisenhower due to time contraints. We'll hit it next time :)
Up the Crawford Path, which is perfectly mellow. Cloudy and windy and cold at first, but the sun was out before we returned from Eisenhower.
Hit this summit after a nice night camped at Mizpah. Weather is deteriorating. Pushing on for Monroe and Lakes.
19 degrees F on the summit with 100-ft viz. This was probably a nice February day in New Hampshire. Spent night on top and temp was -1 F the next day. Spent another night to attempt Washington and it was -10 F and way windy the next day. Went home.
As usual, I remember nothing.
0 degrees. 3' of snow. High winds. We had a blast.
