Mt Reba in January
Loop trip on a cold windy day that turned to snow. Great views down the Mokelumne canyon from Salt Springs to Hermit Valley.

Nice hike with Joe. Perfect early spring day with warm temps and great views. Got some fantastic glissades in on the south face.

Nice hike
A nice hike from 207, I was the only one up there except for a 4 wheeler that got turned around by the snow. It feels good to have finally been on it after staring at it for 18 years from Bear Valley.
Route Climbed: TH on Hwy 207 nr. Hwy 4 Date Climbed: 05 June 2004
Fun hike up jeep trail on Hwy 207 just after the turnoff from Hwy 4 to "Reba", then traversed to Mt. Reba. Nice views, very good wildflowers (early bloom), favorable effort-to-reward ratio. Views of nearby Mokelumne Peak's southwest face were particularly impressive. We didn't see a single soul.
Route Climbed: Southeast slope Date Climbed: May 2, 2004
The day's original goal was a hike to the Calaveras County Highpoint. There was still alot of snow so we lost the trail and made a big loop back to the car. I knew Martin Rolph was taking a course out of Bear Valley and I was told they wouldn't be back for 3 hours or more so Joel and I decided to head up Mount Reba. We had a little of everything, soft snow, crusted snow in the shade, mud from the melt, and dry clear trail along the ridge. A very warm day but still alot of fun. Great views from the summit.

Fine weather this timea around. We bypassed Mt. Reba and climbed "Reba" just to the east. Don't ask me why they have two summits with nearly the same name. Ray and I found an interesting class 3 arete north of the summit. Trip Report
Route Climbed: Southeast slope Date Climbed: March '02
Attempted to ascend Reba on day one, but extremely poor visibility due to a heavy snowstorm caused us to turn back halfway and snowboard down. Day two was much better with broken clouds, reached the top with snowshoes.
Route Climbed: SE slopes Date Climbed: 10 March 2002
We didn't continue all the way to the "summit", as we were more interested in skiing down. Even though the day was quite warm and the sun intense, the windpacked north-facing slopes of Mount Reba were indescribably hard. We quickly opted for a couple short-but-sweet runs down Bee Gulch, which faces east.
I have a highly uninteresting trip report of some of our ski trips around here...
Route Climbed: SE Slopes Date Climbed: Feb 9, 2001
This was a lesson in how not to climb a mountain. Since it was so easy (and it normally is!), we didn't have map, compass, radio or anything else of that might have come in handy when the storm came in.
