Mt Reba, February Solo
It was a long January and February without snow! But still, I intended, no, expected, to need the snowshoes. But no! The week before we received an inch or two of new snow, over the top of a dwindling couple of feet. The old under layer was solid. With just a couple inches of fresh on top I only sunk a couple inches deep without the snowshoes. Carried those bastards all the way to the summit and back. But you know what they say... better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
