Route Climbed: Frosty Park Date Climbed: January 2, 2005  Sucess!

Wonderful sunset hike! Definitely needed snowshoes, unles postholing is your desire. Having some waypoints marked helped as the trail wasn't always easy to find with the snow up there.

Route Climbed: Frosty's Park Date Climbed: 12/12/04  Sucess!

Great hike in moderate snow! The only difficult park of the hike was route finding for the last 400' vertical feet due to over a foot of crusty snow hiding the route.

Route Climbed: Frosty Park Trailhead Date Climbed: October 9, 2004  Sucess!

Summited with my wife Julie. Beautiful day with hardly a cloud in the sky. Unrestricted views in all directions. We only saw a handful of people on the trail and were on the summit for at least a half hour all by ourself.

Route Climbed: Mount Rosa Date Climbed: Oct 23, 2004  Sucess!

It was a great hike. I made sure I signed in the LOG at the summit. Good Incline. The view was great from the peak. One side of the mountain was Colorado Springs and the others were all mountains. I felt I could see up to Denver if the sky was clear. The trail was slippery due to MOTOR Bikes and Bikes on the route.

Route Climbed: Nelson Trail from Frosty Park Date Climbed: September 28, 2004  Sucess!

Great hike up! I had the mountain all to myself. I was above the clouds that were covering Colorado Springs and had great views of Mt. Baldy, Mt. Almagre, Pikes and Cameron Cone. This is a great short climb that more than delivers bang for your buck with spectacular views. I love living in Colorado Springs!

Route Climbed: Frosty Park to Nelson's Trail Date Climbed: June 6, 2004  Sucess!

This is the perfect front range hike. I havn't been up any other mountain that offers such a breathtaking and varied 360 degree view. To the east are the plains. Northeast is Colorado Springs. N orth is Pikes Peak. Northwest is Almagre. The view to the west and south are the Sangre de Cristos in the distance, and southeast is Cheyenne Mountain. For a fairly moderate hike you can't get better than this. Don't forget to sign the log at the top.

Route Climbed: Frostys Park Date Climbed: June 6, 2004  Sucess!

Beautiful morning for a nice hike. Reached the top just before the thunderstorms did. Had time to browse around and take some pictures before having to rush back down. Didn't see anyone else on the trail.

Route Climbed: Probably Nelson's Trail, as you describe Date Climbed: Somewhere around 1990  Sucess!

OK, so I don't remember the exact date we climbed this peak, nor do I have any pictures of our climb. I do remember we climbed this one in the spring with a Pikes Peak CMC group. Our approach to the trailhead was as decribed on this Mount Rosa main page.
