Fun up, quick down
First time up both Anenome & Sanitas.
Two great loops. Sanitas is a fun mountain. I wanted to go long-ish and build in a tempo and this worked out about right. Went from Summit down Lion's Lair to Sunshine Canyon Rd in 14:47. Posterior chain still off from the 6k of vert this week and carrying Iris up and down the Manitou incline earlier this week, so I almost bailed. Luckily things seemed to feel okay-ish and I made it to the top of Sanitas. I decided to test things and gave it a decent push down, with a plan to bail if anything started to yell at me. Had a blast! Should be fun to come back and bomb this sometime.

Hiked up Mount Sanitas Trail, down East Ridge and Meadows. Hiked with wife, daughter and our dog.

Family Hike
Did a hike with the family up Lyons trail. Not too many people until we reached the summit, then it was a madhouse. Pretty views from up top. Gentle trail that'd be great for running.

Stair climbers delight
Nothing but serious verticals. Quads were burning the whole way up. Not much shade. A lot of climbers with dogs. Very dry and breezy the whole way up. Had my Nike fly wires on cause I forgot my hikers - great for going up but not for coming down.
All and all a very challenging hike. Great view of Boulder.
Great workout, will definitely do it again.

First Hike as a Boulder Resident
Moved to Boulder on June 29 and decided we needed to get out and enjoy the mountains the next day. We waited until late afternoon to leave the apartment and ended up hiking in the rain. The benefit was that we so only around 10 people hiking on the mountain. Fun little hike with great views of Boulder and the Plains.

Climbed it with legends
With Cory Richards and Adrian Ballinger on their final pre Mt Everest training hike/send off
Tried to climb a 14er but turns out June is still way too snowy and only chance of getting up is on skis. Went here instead for a quick morning hike. Fun but rather crowded (obviously).
Great training climb for Fourteeners or Thirteeners. Nice views of Boulder (if you are so inclined to call views of concrete jungles with precise, squared-off form "pretty"). If city views are your thing, Boulder is as pretty and "natural" as they come.

Mt Sanitas from Mapleton TH
Started-up at 9:16am after finding the very last parking spot at the TH. Nice! Took the left approach and reached the summit at 10:04. Headed down East Ridge at 10:08 and to the Valley Trail back to my truck at 10:53.Beautiful day,bright/sunny,warmer yet very windy. Sweet!
