You had an excellent moment - and the perfect photographer's eye! One could imagine a natural Taj Mahal...On this image, Mount Shasta really has the aspect of a "sacred", a "holy" mountain - isn't that exactly what it always was for the Indian tribes?
How's the snowpack on Shasta this year?
I haven't been up yet, but it should be pretty good. I still have 3 feet of snow behind my house and I only live at 4,000 feet. They have 120 inches at the top of the ski lifts. I reckon the pack is strong...
Right on! I didn't climb it the last 2 summeres...Hopefully this one. you know Dave Marchi by chance?
I know a few Marchis up here but no Daves. Who is he? What does he do?
He's a great guy I know from Alaska. He lives in Shasta and guides there and all over the place.
Beautiful shot of a beautiful mountain, ray
this is why we go to the mountains
I am glad you guys had a chance to snowshoe up there!
Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback!
thank you for this very nice & butiful image
Just like you said, Bubba. Exquisite for sure. Totally perfect. Like all those watercolor paintings you see in flea markets, except yours is the real McCoy. Nice. 10/10
That is one outstanding photo! Some, having just arrived somewhere might have missed it, but you captured it. A beautiful moment.
Thank you for the kind words. We were lucky getting there at the right time. With a spot that awesome, how can you go wrong?
