Tough hike after the other two summits. Impressive summit shelter with amazing views.
Very last minute decision. I heard about the Lyrid meteor shower and thought I might car camp, watch the show, and get a peak or two in. Didn't see a single meteor! But did summit Peerless, Sheridan, Sherman, and White Ridge.
in my Mosquito range traverse (Started at Horseshoe Peak via Leavick)
great hike!!! climed after Sherman, on an almost perfect march day. A great day in the mountains!!
We tackled Sheridan before heading over to Sherman (and Gemini). Whereas you could see a total assembly line of people trudging up Sherman, we had the mountain completely to ourselves over on Sheridan. Pretty easy 13er to knock off the list, and the reward is awesome, as you get amazing views at the summit.
Storms builing over Collegiate Peaks to the west early. Picked right mountain range this day. Hiked to saddle with woman from Keystone. Went to Sheridan alone and had it to myself. Great glissades down to saddle, then small one to valley floor.
Nice and easy!
Nice views. Met a couple who forgot their camera, so they gave us their e mail address and my brother took a summit photo of them. E mail address didn't work, which is really too bad.
Combined with Sherman; great day!
Arrived at Leavick Mine at 3am at started at 8ish. Did Sheridan and Sherman. Fun glissade down to the cars
Climbed as part of the 14ers.com spring outing. Pretty stiff winds at the top. Continued on to Sherman and White Ridge.
Went straight up the long slab. Views were great! Hiked with Sherman and Dyer
Nice day with few clouds, more snow than I expected and lots of wind. Great views of the Sawatch range. Combined with Peerless and Horseshoe.
Did the Hor-Per-She-She-Gem.
not a particularly exciting summit but certainly a lot quieter then the masses on Sherman
I remember on the way up there was this kid probably about 3 or 4 years older than me, in tennis shoes... ascending... on his hands and knees...
Climbed Mount Sheridan (4,191 m/13,748 ft) before climbing Mount Sherman. Beautiful views and weather!
Climbed with Peerless and Horseshoe. Snow above 12,500.
Ferocious winds today! Got this then headed over Peerless & Horseshoe.
Started from the Iowa Gulch TH, up Sheridan, Sherman, Gemini Pt, and Dyer Peak. 3:10 car to car, a nice morning jaunt on the ridgeline, all class 2 and below.
